In this article, we'll explain what the card verification value (CVV) is. This number is necessary for credit card purchases carried out on online platforms, such as Hotmart. Hotmart is a safe and secure environment for the purchase of digital products.
The card verification value (CVV) is a three-digit number on credit and debit cards. It's also known as CVV2, card security code (CSC), or card identification number (CID).
When entering your card details, we ask that you also provide your card's verification value (CVV) as an additional security measure for your protection. We do not store this number on our platform. We'll only use it to verify your card when processing your transaction.
You'll find the CVV (three-digit number) on the back of your Visa, Elo, or MasterCard, next to the signature panel.
In American Express cards, the CVV number has 4 digits and can be found on the front of the card.
If your credit/debit card does not have this security code, that means that your card is not enabled for international purchases. You can contact your bank to enable your card for this type of purchase.
Important: Hotmart manages the sales and distribution of digital products registered on our platform. After adding the payment details on the checkout page and completing the purchase, you'll receive the link to access the digital product in your email. We do not manage the delivery of any physical products and gifts that may be connected to your digital product. If you have any questions about that, you need to contact the product creator directly.
